Friday #9: Liquid death edition.
How was your week?
Checking in how it’s going each week is a the way to stay in the process of getting the thing you do out there, in the world, in the least scary way possible — and to relax yourself thin. And, just get to know yourself better.
I do this for myself (because all the stuff I tell you to do? I do, too) and you can do it for yourself, too, if you are so inclined. If not, just read along!
Hard stuff.
- Loads of hard this week for moi.
Big life changes from weeks gone by culminated this week — and it’s always just kind of hard. It reminds me that big changes mean I need some big down time and alone time.
- I hate not being able to fit it all in. Arghhhh.
Do I go to SXSW and Argentina in March? Do I offer 4 programs in the first 6 months of the year? Where in the world (literally) am I going to live?
Prioritizing is painful. Also, necessary. This is part of deciding — which is kind of the secret to life — and I’m just going to pick something.
- I CAN’T SLEEP.
Sleep, to me, is very important. Every night this week I’ve gotten just a few hours… I’m a broken lady. Everything is harder. I do careless things (give away my favorite jeans to Goodwill instead of the jeans I never wear…) and get a wee bit crabby.
Cool stuff.
- I like meeting new people (yes, I’m still saying this, for the thousandth time).
I’ve met some new ones lately in real life. I like meeting new people so much that it’s part of why I started doing this, where meeting new people regularly is a integral piece of what I do.
I get to meet new people, for a living.
- Fun lunch with Rebecca!
She’s a lawyer and coach, just like me, and we always have an excellent time together. She’s a great supporter of me and I support her. We may partner on something in the future. Great friendship that could be work-ships = another reason why what I do is right for me.
- Brainstorming with Pam!
I appreciate her friendship. She’s someone who really knows herself well, and everything in her life reflects this. What could be more worthy of respect?
She’s been self-employed much longer than I have, so she’s a tremendous resource and all-around great person to have in my corner. Don’t I know it.
- Not getting sick from liquid death.
My glass of wine was gross… but, then, the person I was with traded glasses with me… and got sick. I feel a bullet was taken for me.
- Seeing Susan! She’s awesome.
She’s my best friend from growing up. I think I’ve mentioned that she works nights at a hospital, and so I don’t get to see her much… but I saw her last night. So good.
You know those people that set you right? She’s one of them for me, for sure.
- Instead of writing Tuesday Styles, I lived it.
I had a friend over for a Redression Party. I will write about it next Tuesday.
That’s my week! I hope you had a great one, too.
Let me know in the comments:
- Advice you’ve been given that is ridiculous.
- One thing you did this week that you looooooved doing.
Until next week! Have a wonnnnnderful weekend.

I am loving your week in review posts! Definitely an important ritual. And thanks for the shout out -it was great to see you too!
