Viva Leverage for Lawyers
You know about how I’m a lawyer, and I work with lawyers get to better, more fulfilling careers (legal or whatevs), right?
Well! I’m over-the-moon right now because I’ve been contracted by ZPP Partners to work with partners at mega firms that are leaving their firms.
Leaving, like, forever. And, they need a plan.
Enter: Me.
I’ll fly out to Tucson for a two-day retreat with just one partner — and one other coach — to help the ex-partner get clear on what makes her tick, the kinds of stuff she really likes to do, and how that all comes together in either a entrepreneurial set up or working for the man (I say that without judgment).
The partner stays in the law if it’s right for him, and if it’s not, he begins a more fulfilling, energizing phase of his career. Super cool.
What I love love love about this is there are sooooo many associates (ahem, might you be one??) who feel “trapped,” like it’s too late to make a change after years of school, boat loads of debt and years building up legal expertise.
Well! If a partner can leave and successfully reinvent herself, with kids in private schools, mortgages, vacation homes and all sorts of social pressure NOT to change, sister girl, you can, too.
I’ll let you know especially inspiring stories (changing all traceable facts, names and features to protect confidentiality, always) as they come along.
So. Expect a LOT.
